Quilt Numbers

Buy the right amount of fabric the first time

Quilt patterns and shop charts often round sizes their own way, and they rarely show how they got the yardage. These calculators start from your quilt's real size and the width of fabric you can actually use, and they show every step of the math.

All sizes are in inches. Defaults such as 42 in of usable fabric width or 4 in of extra backing on each side can be changed. Use the numbers your fabric or your longarm quilter gives you.
